Why I created the planner
I originally designed this planner for my personal use. I needed a planner to help me track and schedule my "non-day-job" goals and responsibilities -- blogging, housework, social commitments, personal and spiritual objectives, et cetera -- so that I could accomplish one or two key things in each of these areas each week. Essentially, I wanted my planner to accommodate my goals but also force me to prioritize and not bite off more than I could chew. The result revolutionized my week. I discovered that by adding specific actions for my long-term goals as well as any to-do's that I had for that week, I could make sure that I was consistently balancing urgent day-to-day tasks with my overall priorities. If I was adding too much to my week, it was easier to decide which task to focus on and which to eliminate because everything was in one place. When I saw what a difference it made for me, I decided to share it with my readers as a free download…. and when I started hearing what a difference it made for them, I created an annual, fully printable, version that would take the user through an entire year. My Thoughts
What did I think of it? I actually use this planner for my general planning on a weekly basis. It helps me pinpoint exactly what needs doing in a really useful way. Not only that - the design of it is fantastic too! Would I Recommend It? Absolutely! I don't think I could be without it. It's made a massive difference to my scheduling (when I actually remember to write everything down!). As a person who loves To-Do lists and the like, the Goals, Other To-Dos and The Daily Stuff are super helpful in helping to break down my schedule.
